Helicoil Nucoil
In Australia, Helicoil compatible NuCoil thread inserts and kits for repair or recoiling stripped threads or for use in manufacturing are available in sizes from 2mm to 65mm or #2-56 UN to 1-1/2″ (bigger on special order). In aerospace and nuclear equipment, wire thread inserts are used from new. Instead of tapping direct into parent metals wire inserts are used because they distribute stress more evenly than any other type of thread. NuCoil thread inserts come in many threadforms including Metric coarse and fine, UNC and UNF, BSW, BSF, BA, Sparkplug and many special sizes.
